We don’t have a fancy name for her and she won’t win many beauty contests, but this sow has laid the foundation for our herd. Born and raised here on the farm, this female sires elite power and performance.
2-3 : The Future aka “camel”

Our first big win in the gilt ring was with this pretty lady at the 2019 Missouri State Fair where she won reserve grand champion. She brings a more complete and feminine package to the table than her momma, 2-9. Camel’s first litter produced barrows that placed second at both the Missouri state fair as well as the National show in Des Moines. Big things are coming from this one! She earned the nickname Camel by always drinking an entire bucket of water when she was thirsty at the show.

Fresh Coat x 2-9 He’s the One
This sow is a littermate to Camel. She has been a real generator of quality offspring. Her first litter produced a barrow that won both of his classes at the Missouri State Fair in 2020 for the Miller family. She, herself, was shown successfully by our friend Angela King during the summer of 2019 where she won champion Duroc gilt at the Macon County Fair.

Dougie is our exciting bred gilt purchase from Doug Stewart. Not only is she an impressive building block for our program, but she also carries a litter sired by the record selling Duroc boar “Statement Day” who stands as Upperhand Genetics. We cant wait to see what impact she leaves in Salisbury, MO!

Throwdown x Luke (Bred by Miller show stock)
Lil Miss was purchased by Crista at the 2022 MSF. Down eared pigs seem to be our specialty so we figured why not spots? The Miller/Raasch family has been raising elite spotted hogs for decades so we thought it was a no-brainer to establish our genetic foundation with a good one from them. Lil Miss is carrying a litter by Remain Silent at Crossroads Genetics due March ‘23.

Double Up x 2-3 “Camel”
Ding Dong, due to some bad luck and unfortunate circumstances, is our only daughter of our best sow on the farm currently. She is impeccable in her build and feminine from any angle. We acquired the Heimer Sow at Jesse’s Built the Brand ‘22 sale. She had a nice litter of “Jugs” babies last July and is now carrying “Believe In Me” from Premium Blend. These piglets should be elite in their look and build!
